How To Make Paper Pirate Hat:
Materials You'll Need
Paper Pirate Hat Craft Template
Printer
Markers, colored pencils, or crayons
Scissors
Glue or Tape
Cardstock Paper

Step 1: Print
Start by printing the pirate hat template on 8.5 x 11-inch white cardstock paper. Cardstock works best because it’s sturdy enough to hold its shape while your little pirate runs around the backyard!

Step 2: Color
Time to get creative! Use crayons, markers, or colored pencils to decorate your pirate hat. Add stripes, pirate symbols, or anything your young buccaneer can dream up. Make it as colorful or classic as you’d like — the sky’s the limit!

Step 3: Cut Out
Carefully cut out the pirate hat and the hat straps along the solid lines. Younger kids may need a little help with this part — just watch out for those crafty scissor snips!

Step 4: Assemble & Fit
Grab your glue stick or tape. Glue two of the straps to each side of the hat base.

Gently wrap the hat around your child’s head to measure the perfect fit. Trim off any extra strap length and glue or tape the ends together so the hat stays put during all your pirate adventures!
Bonus tip: There’s an extra strap included on the template just in case you need a bit more length for a comfy fit. If you don’t need it, simply discard it or save it for another pirate craft.

And there you have it — your child’s very own pirate hat, ready to set sail on countless adventures! Whether they’re hunting for backyard treasure, putting on a pirate puppet show, or just shouting “Ahoy!” from the living room couch, this simple paper pirate hat is sure to spark big imaginations and endless giggles. Keep crafting, keep pretending, and don’t forget to check out our other pirate crafts to complete your swashbuckling crew. Arrr, happy crafting, mateys!
