To begin your craft you need to download the Christmas Cootie Catcher Templates. This download is available to all members for FREE! After you have downloaded the template, print it on 8.5x11 white paper and cut out all of the pieces. Once you have cutout each of the pieces it is time to fold. Folding a cootie catcher is easy and fun! Follow these simple steps to create your own.


How To Fold & Assemble The Santa Cootie Catcher

As you fold, color, and create, you'll witness the transformation of a simple piece of paper into a miniature Santa, ready to spread joy and merriment.

Example of how to fold in half.

Start with the square piece of paper. Fold the square in half horizontally, creasing the paper firmly. Unfold the paper and then fold it again in the opposite direction, creating another crease. Unfold the paper, so you have a square with two creases which should cross each other in the middle of the square.

Now, fold each corner of the square towards the center, so the points meet in the middle. This will create a smaller square with the center cross still visible.

Flip the square over and fold each corner towards the center once more. You should now have a smaller square.

Fold the smaller square in half.

How to slide your fingers into it.

Then gently slide your fingers into the flaps of the folded square and carefully open them up. This will create the opening of your cootie catcher.

How to glue the two sides together.

Glue the top sides together and then the bottom sides together. You will no longer be able to open the cootie catcher if you do this but it will help the puppet stay together for kids to play with.

Glue the legs to the bottom of Santa Claus.

Glue the hat on top of the forehead.
