Crayons, Colored Pencils or Markers
Step 1: Download and Print the Template
To begin your craft you need to download the Coffee Filter Santa Template. This download is available for Free at the bottom of the post. After you have downloaded the template, print it on 8.5x11 white paper.
Step 2: Color
Once you've printed the template, it's time to unleash the creativity! Use markers, crayons or colored pencils to bring Santa to life. Your child is the artist, so let their imagination run wild!
Step 3: Cut
Cut out the head and set it aside. Utilizing scissors is a skill that takes practice and is essential for your child's development. To enhance this skill, I've created Santa-themed scissor cutting exercises. These exercises are designed to guide your child from learning to cut straight lines to mastering more challenging zigzag lines, fostering their developmental growth. You can find these cutting exercises here.
Step 4: Fold Coffee Filter In Half
Fold the coffee filter in half. Feel free to use any size of coffee filter; in the photos, I utilized a small coffee filter designed to hold 1-4 cups.
Step 5: Glue
It's time to assemble the Santa craft. Begin by applying a generous amount of glue to the rectangle labeled "Glue." Position the folded coffee filter on top of it. Open up the filter, add additional glue to the center, and then close the coffee filter back down. Apply more glue to the top of the filter and affix the head on it.
Hang Santa's whimsical beard proudly on the wall, incorporate it into your holiday decor, or gift it to loved ones as a heartwarming handmade present. This Santa Beard Craft is a small yet delightful addition to our collection of Coffee Filter Crafts, like the Tye Dye Butterfly. Let the holiday crafting festivities begin, and may your home be filled with the joyous spirit of the season!
