Parents and teachers love that this printable fall craft is low-prep and affordable. All you need are the printed witch template, crayons or markers, glue, and a pile of freshly collected fall leaves. Print the design on standard 8.5x11 cardstock or paper, and you’re ready for a classroom project, family craft night, or Halloween party activity. Kids can use bright red, orange, yellow, and brown leaves for a fiery mane, or mix in green and purple craft paper leaves for a more whimsical effect. Whether spooky or silly, each witch turns into a festive keepsake that children will be proud to display.

This activity is also a wonderful way to get kids outdoors. Encourage children to go on a “leaf hunt” to find the perfect hair for their witch. Collecting leaves helps kids connect with nature, notice seasonal changes, and develop observational skills. When paired with the crafting process, this project balances outdoor exploration with indoor creativity, making it an ideal fall activity for kids of all ages.
